A good Secondary for Rangers and Elementalists?
Ive finally made my elementalist and i was wondering what would be the most efficient secondary profession if i was aiming to become an aeromancer (air elementalist) Plz help.
Also i want to make a Ranger and eventually into a trapper is there a secondary required to make a ranger a trapper or does it matter? if it doesnt matter what would hte best secondary for that? P.S. i know i could just try and if i dont like the one i chose i could change at desert but i dont want to waste the time getting all of the other skills again! Well if you have any ideas plz post ty! |

I have an E/Me, but she's a fire nuker so I'm changing her to Mo once I ascend. I don't use any of the Me skills unless I'm playing as though I'm a primary Mez or using echo, so I'd rather have the spammable rez and a heal or enchant. Most of the eles that I know don't bother using secondaries either, they use their primary and then maybe something like armor of earth or a monk secondary. Look at the skills you'll be using and see if you can work a secondary into your skill bar (I know I can't as a nuker)...if not I'd recommend just doing monk so you've got those extra rez's.
For a trapper, I've never played a ranger but I could see Mesmer being a good secondary (esp for echo). |

I've played a Trapper Ranger, and I can honestly say that it doesn't matter what your secondary is if you wanna trap well. But, it does matter if you want to do other things, or certain types of trapping.
If you wanna go PB trapping, I'd suggest a Warrior secondary for the stances. If you wanna also be an interupter, go with Mesmer. If you wanna be a survivor, Necro or Warrior are both good. If you wanna be a last chance type, go with monk and bring along a Res spell. Honestly, there's no going wrong with that, because if you have Wilderness Survival and Expertise, you don't need ANYTHING else. |

I second the necro as a secondary. No, wait if you second a secondary, what does that then make it?
this secondary stuff can get confusing. |
