Salvaging weapon modifications
What would happen if i would expert salvage a:
Sundering Half moon(10/9) of Fortitude (+29) Would it be the prefix or suffix? And does it actually matter how good the mods are?? Or is it just 50% change on any of them? Thx in advance for your answer and time |

Actually you can never count on what your going to get from a salvage.
Its all random. You have a 1 in 3 chance of getting out of it what you want. |

If you get an upgrade component, it would be an equal chance at one or the other, but not both. It doesn't matter how good the mods are, and you don't automatically get the higher quality upgrade. You can have a sundering (10%) half moon of warding (+6) and end up with the warding grip.
The chances of getting either the prefix or the suffix, however, is equal but is less than 50% each. There is a chance you might end up with wood. |

The quality of the item seems to have an impact on the salvagability of mods. Maybe this is just my experience but I've had terrible luck salvaging anything but crafting materials out of blues; but very rarely does that happen with golds.

I think getting items out of Blues has gotten worse since the Sorrow's Furnace update.
Its almost impossible now. |
