As long as your ascended your current level doesn't matter at all.
As long as your Ascended and can complete the relevant quest's to open up the secondaries for switching.. your free to switch. |

How can you be Lv14 and be Ascended? From experience, ascending instantly makes you Lv20 reguardless of what level you are. You did fight the 'Doppleganger' and won right?
As for changing professions. You can only change your sub-profession after you're ascended and done required quest for that sub-prof in Seeker's Passage, Heroe's Audience, or Destiny's Gorge. There is no limit to changing your sub, and you'll keep the skills you already learned if you wanted to go back. |

Also, people who ascended at lvl20 felt that they weren't getting any reward from it previously, whereas the 50,000XP is worth a few skil points to them.

Last night while forming a group to help a friend through Thirsty River mission, there was a player with a level 5 Ranger looking, no begging, to become a member of a group to do the mission.
I don't think anyone wanted him in their group, because of his low level. He sounded quite desperate. At any rate, we wouldn't take him. |

Now thats why low level people have such a bad opinion of higher level persons. Then when that person reaches 20 they snub all the lower level people the way you did them. Regardless of level, I have found all players to be productive in someway... even as shields. You have to give these lower lvl guys a chance, you might be shocked at the results. Furthermore, helping out a bit doesnt cost you anything. I cant count the times Ive been in a group of 6 or 8, and half the group left, and we still did the mission. So whats the difference if you have half a group or a full group with one lower level person?

Sorry, but this is the way I wish to play, and I really don't care if others feel this is unfair or not. I don't believe in running, and I don't wish to play the game in teams which have party members who have been run. The fact that this player was looking to join the mission as level 5 is a true indication that the character was run to Thirsty River, or at least was run through a lot of the game, or at the very least has skipped over a lot of the game. Apparently this view is shared by many others, at least all the others in the party I was in last night at Thirsty River.
This has nothing to do with any kind of snobbery because of my character being at such a higher level. Not at all! I just don't like people who get run. I have great respect for low level characters, but only if they are willing to work to reach a higher level. And I don't consider it work if one gets run to the doppelganger and gains a high level because of the 50000 XP for that one quest. If this person wants to run through the game and skip all the pre-desert stuff, that's fine with me, but I don't feel obligated to have him in my party. But other than that, it is simply not in my interest to enter a difficult mission like Thirsty River with someone who is at such a low level. I would rather take a henchy. |

"I have great respect for low level characters, but only if they are willing to work to reach a higher level."
Didnt anybody ever tell you everything you say after the "but" contradicts everything before it? The statement I made was not directed at any one person. I said that only to bring up a point. At some point everybody needs help in this game. If we all keep this attitude of, Im not helping cause you are low level, or because you were ran here, how would any of us get anywhere? NEVER forget, we were all once "noobs", and needed help and maybe even a runner at one point. And that mission, thirsty river, is overrated. The last 6 or 7 missions in the game are the easiest. By the way, we are way off topic here, and thats mostly my fault... |

Ok, Lord Mahal, let me say it really clearly so you can understand it:
I am not helping any low level player who obviously has been run to where they currently are in the game. Quote:
And I also have the right to choose who I wish to team with for a quest or a mission, and characters that are 10 levels or more below me are not on the list, but neither are rushers, leavers or anyone arrogant, egostic and unfriendly. |

OMG, we are going into a fight about peoples rights.... What is happening in this world. Next thing you will bring up is abortion or religion... geez... Was only making a point and suddenly I am violating your constitutional rights. I think you need a time out. Nobody was suggesting that you MUST do anything. I was only hoping that by helping others the playing environment would improve...And an "I just" is the same as "but". I would help, but (I just), dont like lower level people. See.

Axle, just checking, did you change your secondary? I wouldn't think a low level affected anything, but just making sure. |
