Which armour?
Hello all.
I'm going to be buying some armour from Dronknars. Now at droknars I need to decide between getting either: Platemail Armor 85 Armor Armor +10 (vs. Physical Attacks) Or Knight's Armor 80 Armor Reduces damage from physical attacks ------ Firstly, this seems somewhat confusing. I thought the whole idea of armour was to reduce the damage I'd take from attacks. The Platemail offers 5 more armour, so thats a total of (+20) armour but it does not say it reduces damage. I'd lose (+20) armour with the Knights compared but it reduces damage. What exactly does this mean, and what would be the best for me to get? Thanks. |

"Best" is a subjective term.
There's not a great deal of difference, operationally, between Knight's and Plate. Think of knight's as having a built-in rune of absorbtion, while plate has a higher base armor level. Be aware that the effects of multiple pices of armor dont stack - one piece of either knights or plate provides the armor bonus globally. With that in mind, what you will find many experienced warriors doing is having a mixture of armor pieces to maximize the benefit. Perhaps the most popular and effective combination is knight's (or 15k ascalon) boots, gladiator chest and leggings, weapon helm, and either stonefist gauntlets (if hammer build) or glad gloves. Of course, if you are primaryily concerned about aesthetics, then only your own tastes matter. |

Yup NEVER EVER get more than one piece of Knights Armor. All u need is one to get -2 dmg. With 5 pieces u still get -2 dmg.

Sound advice from both the above two repliers.

Thanks guys!
I'm glad you said about them not stacking. Myself, I think that the platemail looks better. I'll get all platemail and one Knights then Thanks very much |

I will say it again, as many others have tested it as well. BTW I recommend knight's gloves. When you run you get hit in the feet.

Unless you use Hammers, with which you'll be using the Stonefist Gauntlets. Just put the Knight's on either the gloves or the boots, not the leggings or chest.
