"i have no idea" " i like guildwar very much" " i don't like this game so much" "i want to know that as well" etc. By the thread, fire AoE should do good. As someone noted, phoenix, flame burst are also welcomed |

think before you post. anyways, thanks to everyone for all the insight. i tried it all, and ultimately what i used to kill the post-patch doppleganger with my level 6 e/mo, was a COMBINATION of everything you guys said. This is the skill bar that ultimately won it for me: ======== Life Attunement (vain attempt to make him waste time-- he never used it) Glyph Of Lesser Energy Fire Storm (hm... couldn't find Fire Rain. *roll eyes*) Meteor Shower Balthazar's Aura Symbol Of Wrath Banish Bane Signet ======== This build would be OVER-KILL, at level 20, but needless to say I had to resort to it, as I simply wasn't getting off enough damage with 6 points in Fire, and 5 points in Smiting. I just casted Glyph before the battle, hit Fire Storm right off the bat, while he happened to be casting Meteor Shower. In that seemingly split-second window thereafter, I casted Banish and Bane Signet (because it'd never be enough damage, only casted once) and then finally Meteor Shower. Ran to him, casted Balthazar's Aura and Symbol Of Wrath while he was getting knocked down, and finished with Banish and Bane Signet. What was heart-wrenching was that very last Bane Signet. See, before that my Meteor Shower had already ended, naturally, so he was pounding 50-100 damage at me at a time with his axe (I only had roughly 275hp at level 6). By the time I got off the last Bane Signet (2 second cast), I was at like 1hp from his last blow-- and I'm not over-exaggerating. Thankfully, my Bane Signet was just enough to finally get him down. Anyways, thanks again everyone. PS. Forgot who asked, but I'm not just some leech-rusher. This is my fifth character, and as some of you would agree, one tends to get lazy at this point in the game. ^^ I used Lady Blue Steel's Running Academy for my past 2 characters for a run from Lion's Arch all the way through the 3 Ascension missions. I highly recommended it for you more experienced (and might I add rich-- I'm an ex-invincimonk afterall, and LBSRA requires 75k for this service ;p), yet equally lazy individuals, like myself. /killthread Last edited by navy blue chuckz; Oct 18, 2005 at 07:41 AM // 07:41.. |

I used the following
1st skill slot: Fire Storm 2nd skill slot: Meteor Shower you MUST put them in this order, if you dont, the doppleganger will use meteor shower first. so, as soon as you get into the arena, hit meteor shower, then dodge whatever it throws down (fire storm most likely) and set fire storm. Then sit back and watch the fireworks explode and the extra 50,000xp float from your head. *I beat mine in 13 seconds* |
