elementilist armor
Im planing on getting ele fissure armor and i was wondering if i should get one type or spread it out. If i only got one type which one b/c being an ele ive seen many new ele's other than air spikers, ele have the only armor to protect against earth but most earth ele's use obsidian flame so that doesnt matter. If i were to get one of each type only protecting a little against the elements would it even make a difference in damage taken? So i kind need to know cause this is a pretty important decsion.
any comments welcom ty |

The armor bonuses are locational, meaning that they dont stack. If you equip an entire set of +15 armor to fire, you just have +15 to fire. With that said, it really doesn't make a huge difference, as long as you dont pick earth. I picked earth, but that's because I like it and dont really care about armor bonuses. So, get a full set of either air, fire, or cold. The choice is up to you.

i'd pick cold.
- water elementalists are starting to be popular. - "winter" causes all elemental attacks to be cold (could be used to one's advantage). - some necro spells cause cold damage. im sure there are other reasons, but practicaly - cold is the most common damage (i think :P). |

You could, like, take the anti-lightning chest to protect against lightning strike, chain lightning, etc, and then the anti-fire everything else, since non-chest locations are more likely to be hit by attacks than by spells, and I think the most common elemental damage type for attacks would be fire, because of Kindle Arrows.
I wouldn't recommend the anti-cold armor unless you plan to use Winter or something. Armor reduces damage proportionally, so you want to have strong armor against the things that do the most damage, and cold isn't that. |

The 15AL against earth isn't going to be that worthwhile either, since earth mobs and elementalists usually have obsidian flame/crystal wave which IGNORE armor. The 15AL against lightning on your chest is the most efficient since all of the hits are to the chest when you are STRUCK. Whirlwind is the exception, since it is cold damage. Fire is the most damaging element, so that is the armor of choice for non-chest pieces. |
