15k Ranger Druid Armor Questions
Im saving my money for the 15k druid armor. I am a ranger/warrior. Im level 20 and have ascended. I have a lot of questions to ask before i buy this armor.
- What does the ranger druid armor look like? - I do not want the armor to look like any of the armor that they offer throughout the game that is not 15k. How do i avoid this so that i dont have drakescale, or leather looking armor.? - Does the druid armor for ranger offer u a mask as well? Like a druid armor mask? - What is the armor (number) for the ranger's druids armor? - Does the type of crafting material effect how much armor it will give, or what it will look like? I may have a few more questions down the road, but for now this is it. Thnx |

You can stop right where you are and use the search. There are a hundred topics covering armor.
The fact that you are level 20 and you don't already know the answer to at least some of these questions surprises me. Have you even played the game? Or did you just rush through every mission as quickly as possible? |

As of now, the 15K Druid armor is exactly like the 1.5K Druid armor, except for the gold and material costs. At some point in the near future, it is going to recieve asthetic changes, as many of other other 15K armors have gotten, but it hasn't been done yet. Even when they do that, the stats will be the same as the 1.5K armor - its a purely cosmetic difference.

Ignore Ripper's response...someone obviously pissed in his oatmeal...
The fact of the matter is this...I searched the forums and found very little about druid armor before buying the 15k...I was dissappointed to find it was the same armor I already had at 1.5k...(appearance, stats...everythign the same) you will need a LOT of wood planks and tanned hides (150 of each just for the vest). Had I known that this aspect of the game was "unfinished"...I could have avoided uncounted hours of farming to raise the gold... Recently, there was a post regarding the June 1 patch where there were some armor updates...It mentions the 15k druid armor and says it will be updated in the next few weeks wish I knew the game wasn't finished before blowing all my gold...easy come...easy go. THERE IS NO POINT TO BUYING DRUID ARMOR AT 15K....it's an in-game rip-off and those little people selling it should be ashamed...only offer a 500+ gold refund for the vest...were the game more interactive, my character would be instructed to stuff them head-first in a pickle barrel! |

The necrotic armor hasn't been updated yet either, but thats not going to stop me from buying it. It WILL be and then everything will be cool! |

Main problem with buying it now...How many times has an updated item changed in your inventory after an update? Never...old runes look like they did before the update, old values to hides have prevented them from stacking, etc. DO NOT BUY UNTIL AFTER UPDATE!!!! If you buy it now, chances are it will look the same in your inventory after the update...I am looking forward to it, but jeeeeeeeze...I hate thinking of 60k gold (not including materials) for a whole new set...

im not going to buy it unitl the new update, i hope they look good. i better see some crazy type of wood elf, or ranger armor. Something with a lot of camaflauge that would blend in with the krytan/lions arch area. A jungle type uniform, such as a guille suit would be crazy.

actually i've had old items apperance change in my inv...like the runes and whatnot
i doubt they would make you rebuy the 15k armor to have access to the new textures...doesnt make sense, the textures would come down in an update... |

Hey since we're on the subject of armor for the ranger, which is the best to buy @ droks..the druids has more energy which is a bonus but the other have bigger variety of +armor....Now since im in the shiverpeaks it would make since to get the fur armor which has +15 against cold damamge but I was wondering if anyone had more insight on this....im not new to the game, just new to a ranger. OUt of Druids, Studded leather, Fur, and the others, which is better in the long run?

-Fur for the Shiverpeak regions is pretty good considering there are alot of Cold based attacks -Druids for the extra energy if you use more 2nd proffession spellcaster skill. -Drakenskale in the Ring of fire and Kryta is pretty good (can we say titans, and fire imps?) Unless someone brings the skill: Winter. Then I'd bring it for this purpous. -Leather is for the generalist (really either way). Really it's up to you. but alot of the toughest action happens in the Shiverpeak. So Fur would be the best thing to start with. You could also bring the ranger spirit-winter yourself in the desert lol. Last edited by kawaii_bat; Oct 20, 2005 at 04:15 PM // 16:15.. |
