My pet is now level 17 and still with the aggressive prefix... wish they would fix the bug.

I wouldn't actually call it a bug, but that's just me. Regarding the original post, I recommend looking at Gates of Kryta. This is probably the No. 1 documented pet training place. Oh, here are my qualifications:
Here are more details on training your pet. Be prepared for some reading, it gets interesting around reply No. 300-500 or so. |

I've since had it happen as well. I'm still inclined to believe its a bug over a mechanic, though. I'm very meticulous about my pet training, and it happened while I was doing exactly the same thing I had done previously with one very minor exception that shouldn't have made a difference.* It will take some time, but I'd like to see if I can replicate what happened reliably and gather some more evidence one way or the other on the matter. If it isn't a bug, I'd like to know how that influences the final pet. For example, what would the difference be between an unevolved level 20 Moa Bird and an Elder one?
*I switched from leveling my pet up on Mountain Minotaurs to the Crystal Desert variety minotaurs at level 10. Previously I'd switched at levels 8 and 12 multiple times with no hitch in the regular evolution process. |

Is there meant to be some difference having a pet that is hearty, elder and stuff like that?

Aggressive --> Dire or Elder Playful --> Hearty or Elder Aggressive = +1 Damage / -30 Health Dire = +2 Damage / -60 Health Playful = -1 Damage / +30 Health Hearty = -2 Damage / +60 Health Elder = +/- 0 Damage / +/- 0 Health ... but overall... even if those values are incorrect... it's been proven that... Dire does more damage then Hearty and Elder Hearty has more health then Dire and Elder and i guess Elder is just somewhere in the middle... maybe they just don't have a positive or negative modifier? |
