Can you dye focus items?
Yes, tried using search ...
Can you dye focus itmes? I've seen that you can dye shields (to varying degrees), so I don't see why it shouldn't work with focii. also, but wanted to check before possibly wasting dye. I have a nice 8/15/-1/30 grim cesta - the hand shape is nice and the black matches my armor - and was a little disappointed when I finally got the bleached shells for the 12/15/-1/30 Collector idol because it's just so blech-looking (and doesn't match my outfit). I realize that your shield/focus isn't visible in common areas, where people sometimes will compliment you on your armor but I'd hate to join a PUG and have someone say "hey, lady, your bag doesn't match your shoes". |

You can but only a small portion will be dyed (how small is according to the item), so in most cases it's not worth it.

Easiest way is going to be to test it yourself on your specific focus. Buy a cheap dye, and see what happens. If it's nice, use dye remover, and add your preferred colour.

Applying a dye remover has no effect if you're just going to apply a second color over it. Save yourself 50g and just directly apply the second color if you want to

I went ahead and tried it and it worked. I even managed to get a pretty close match to the dyed part of my armor; well , close enough.
