What weapons to use for my monk? - Guild Wars Forums

I use a staff (green) with dual +30 healths BUT I am thinkin of moving from that to a Rod and other item to increase my energy, I would prefer green items as they will be maxed to hell and back and cheap. Which monk items wil give me most energy bonus and possibly health at same time?

I would choose a staff with 20%~ enchanting and a +5 energy head, with cast/recast 20% of whichever skill you're specializing in. Staves of that nature give you a +15 energy bonus, which is a lot.

Monks shouldn't worry about their own health. They should not be taking enough hits for it to matter more than energy or enchanting duration.

i would personally use wands, coz u can hold healing charms in the other hand giving u many more mods and stats if u get good ones

My healer uses a very early on quest holy rod. you get it in Piken Square. It gives you a 10% recharge on all skills and energy +3 while health above 50%, the offhand is the collectors 12 en, 20/20 cast/recharge on healing from the collector in snake dance. it works out quite well and since they dont have a 20/20 staff for healing prayers, this is about the best combo ive found for her.

For My monk I use a HoD sword with a +18% enchant pommel. offhand I use a prot icon with +12 energy, +45hp(enchanted)
