Spell Breaker and Backfire
If I cast Spell Breaker on myself and Backfire on an enemy spellcaster, I know that the enemy's spells directed at me will fail due to the Spell Breaker. But will the enemy spellcaster suffer the damage due to the Backfire spell when 'attempting' to cast against me? Just wondering. Thanks for any thoughts.

No, cause if you are backfired, you can cancel the spell and avoid the damage.
In your case, spell breaker auto cancels the spells directed at you. |

In other words, Backfire only affects the caster at the completion of the spell, not the initiation of it.
