I'd suggest Backbreaker. It opens up for a mean combo.
Backbreaker - Crushing Blow - Staggering Blow - Heavy Blow |

yeah but then with earthshaker+crude swing.... its just such a hard decision
EDIT: with a 5:1 vampiric... earthshaker+crudeswing can end up giving you tons of health with tons of damage |

Earthshaker. Backbreaker costs too much adrenaline, and it's only one second longer if you're wearing the right gauntlets.

But then again, with the Stonefist Gauntlets (you WERE refered to those right?) the knockdown time of Backbreaker will be increased too so it'll still be a pretty long down-time for the enemy.
But again, just try them both. Find which one you're comfortable with and use that. |

I think the obvious answer would be to use devastating hammer

I'm sure that the stonefists dont give a boost on backbreaker, i havent noticed one anyway.
Dev hammer/crushing blow/heavy blow/aftershock is pretty badass. I dont like using earthshaker in pve, by the time its charged up most of the enemies are already dead. |

as an experienced pve hammer user, i only have this to say: earthshaker ftw!
the chance to knock down even 2-3 enemies makes it so worthwhile. the reduction in its adrenal cost was a big plus for it as well. for only 1 more adrenaline than devastating, you have the chance to knock down more enemies. |
