Most FUN profession(s) to play with?
I only have 1 character, an ascended W/M and it's getting rather boring whether its doing quests or farming. Are there any professions in particular which are fun to play with?

I think the ones that are the most fun to play are the most challenging. Namely ranger and mesmer.

i'm a monk and without insulting anyone I think that's the "fun" character to play with.
But each proffession has his own special skills and powers, so it depends on the one behind the pc if the character is good/strong to play with in the beginning it can be a little suckie but later on it gets funny, cause then everybody wants you in their team and stuff like that. |

I have an ascended Ranger/Elementalist, and it gets kind of dull, and I know for myself and a few other Rangers who feel this way. You feel like you're getting the short end of the stick sometimes.
I loved the Elementalist part and though of going with one of them, but they often tend to put most of their points into one skill and the rest into energy storage. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, because when you get tired of burning things, you can switch things up easily. I wound up starting a monk, because quite honestly, the game needs more and I have a history of having my first alt being a healer. I chose a necro secondary because they seem kinda fun with the raising the pets from the corpses and such. However, a guidemate suggested that an Elementalist/Monk may be a better healer then any Monk/* combo because of the Energy Storage that gives you such a big pool of energy to work with. So I started one of them, and I keep finding more and more uses for this combo. I plan on being a primary healer, but early on, healing isn't really all that necessary, so I can play around with the elementalist part, and I'll switch over to full healing when I start grouping with people. And if I do get tired of healing, I can switch right back to primary Elementalist skills. And then I saw the farming video last night, which shows another aspect of the combo I had not considered, and it appears to be fun. |

I'm a W/N anti-mob pve and conditions engine pvp.
I'm never bored with him. I've accepted the fact that late game, dmg isn't always the warrior's way to win, it's condition placement. I'll let the casters do the dmg and my warriors place conditions. Double trouble for the enemy monk to heal My other builds [I'm working on them but none of them are past lvl 10 yet] are Late Game test DoT mesmer. (I posted his build here elsewhere). N/R Zookeeper. (sometimes it's just fine to hang back and let mindless minions pillage for you). Power Ranger (yeah yeah sue me). I'm liking them all thus far but the two primaries I refuse to play are Elementalist and Monk. First, I don't like punishment these two classes usually endure. Second, I'm not really a caster by nature in any rpg I play so since these two are the biggest caster classes in game [also the first targeted] I avoid them. |

Seems the "most fun" class(es) is/are completely subjective.

C-Tzar is right. It all depends on your peronality. If' you're borde. Put all professions in a hat and pick two. And make that character work.

I love my E/Me... but I use only 1 mesmer skill. I think of changing to E/Mo to be able to heal myself. I maxed out Fire and 1 point short of the max in Energy storage, put some points in Inspiration.
I cast Chanelling, Aura of restauration, and I go on the biggest group of mobs and unleash hell Inferno, Flame burst and Phoenix in close range are some high dmg spells! As C-Tzar said, it's completely subjective! |

I like the Necromancer profession for 'fun'. You can raise undead minions against your foes, from your foes. Anyone who hasn't dreamed of having undead minions at your side, with their guts hanging out, is either a liar or just someone... well, normal I suppose.

For me, all of them!
yeah, yeah, I know that sounds like a stoopid answer. But I have a warrior, monk, elementalist and mesmer. Now, the monk is the furthest along (not quite ascended) and I really like playing him. The mesmer is the youngest, and I really like playing him. The elementalist is my first and oldest character and he suffers a bit from Noob pt allotment and not knowing what worked for me. But I just went back and played him after a long hiatus and he was a blast too. And my warrior was given an amazing golden sword, and at 8th lvl can go and just pound the crap outta stuff and soak it too. He might be the least exciting...but his necro powers are a fun combo. |

I really like my Hammer W/Mo..I like knocking down opponents constantly...And using deep wound is great for taking down bosses that have a large ammount of Hp.Though currently im playing with my abilitys and just went with Hammer mastery-strenght-healing..Its pretty good.

I played R/Mo first, Me/E second, W/N third, and Mo/N fourth. The one I have most fun with would have to be Mesmar. I love the challenge involved and trying to shut down as many of the monsters (or humans in PvP) that I can. This includes blinding, interrputs, hexes, removing enchantments, draining energy, etc etc. Only problem is the stupid henchmen always go after what I'm attacking, so they're alwalys running around confuse as to whom they should be focusing on lol.
Ranger and Warrior are pretty straight forward, you just more or less select a target and push buttons 1-8 a bunch Monk is pretty fun too since its so differently played, but I like to do damage to the enemy team rather than sit there and click-push number the names of my own. Nonetheless this is what my guild usually has me play in PvP, but I can't wait until I get a few Mesmar skills that I need and can do that instead. |

I have a Mo/N ascended and a level 18 E/Me and i looooove playing my E/Me so much fun. I use backfire and Power Spike on it the rest are Air spells unless doin pve. Thinking bout playing with earth though looks kinda fun. Still looking for that "I win" nuke :P. From my remembrance playing as a monk water trident was a pain in the rear.

If you're bored, challenge yourself. Go with a build that a lot of people here judge poorly and make it work. Or just go with one that requires a totally different strategy than what you're used to. A W/M is (IMO, as always) the most effective tank in the game, and would bore ME to tears, so go with a ranged fighter that requires more strategic thinking to be successful (ie, Ranger or Mesmer). Or look around for a while and see what the most popular builds are, and pick one you almost never see (I was thinking the other night I can't remember seeing an Em/Me out there).

1st - Ranger / Mesmer - love it, really fun and easy (cant farm well though)
2nd - Monk / Necro - love it more than the first and not even ascended 3rd Elementalist / Mesmer - love it, come on ... who doesn't love playing the nukers 4th - Warrior / Ranger - not really in love with it ... boring character ... not as enjoyable as 3 above ... will likely change to W/E or heaven forbid a W/Mes Just playing around cap'ing elites and unlocking runes ... |
