This thread is around here somewhere.
Read the Mesmer builds in the Campfire subforum, you'll get a lot of info there. |

Try a Me/N. Both use a lot of hexes that work well together. I currently have a lvl 7.
Soul Barbs gives (for me right now) 18 dmg everytime a hex or enchantment is cast on that foe. So Soul Barbs>Weaken Armour>Empathy>Conjure Phantasm = much pain as all are hexes, weaken armour (obviously) weakens their armour, empathy makes them take dmg when they attack and CP is a health drain. Sorts bosses out nicely |

ive got an acsended mesmer lvl 20 and i dont really use my secondary .... however i used it a bit somewhere along the lines of level up to lvl 20.
mine was Me/E... its can be good ... but u waste out of energy way too fast. so all i do is use mesmer skills/spells. i suggest Me/N as pevil lihatu said .. coz of the hexes and .. Me/E ... if u no wat skills to use and when to use them or Me/Monk... if u want to be able to support urself without the aid of others!! thats my opinion ... goodluck choosing!!! |

Me/N is a (I think the most) favourite, because mesmer and necro have skills that complement each other (like virulence/fragility, or soul barbs/any hex). Many Necro skills also make up for the poor healing options for mesmers.
Me/E is also popular because of the fastcasting nuker possibility and the (arcane) echos and glyphs to reduce recasting time and energy use. Self-healing is terrible in this build, though. I use it myself in PvE, a Domination/Air or Domination/Fire build. Elementalist healing is only in Energy Storage - an attribute you can't have as ele secondary. Me/Mo to have decent self heal, some group support and (fast) resurrection (notable rebirth - by far the most excellent PvE res skill). You can also go 100% mesmer (usually domination because illusion hardly has enough multi-purpose skills to fill the skillbar) and just take /Mo for rebirth in stead of the healing sig. Can save many a mission or quest - not to be underestimated. Me/R and Me/W are least popular. (this all about PvE) Last edited by Findariel; Nov 16, 2005 at 08:24 AM // 08:24.. |

I have an ascended Me/N also and I used the hex/life stealing and wells early but by the time I got to the desert I was all Mesmer. I do carry one Necro spell, the elite Grenth's Balance for emergency health.
Love the mesmer, she is able to go anywhere with just Henchies - I traveled that way to all the ascension mission spots and ToA. |

I use Me/Mo which I like, I have also used Me/W but that's only good for the IW build, so if you don't want that, there isn't much of a point to go Me/W. But I've found Mesmers are kind of like Rangers in that you don't use your secondary class much (in some cases at all) since their primary skills are so useful and you need most of them.

The Campfire's a good place to start for builds and how to use them. Closed.
