levelling question
Been doing some of these pre-searing quests tonite (the prof specific ones) but tell me once they are done (and i have done the ranger ones) what do i need to do to attain a higher level? should i just kill as many monsters that roam the countryside as i can and if so where is best place to get the most xp?
Also where do i go to unlock new skills and do you need to be a certain level to get them? Thanks and again sorry for being an annoying noob! |

No, please don't degrade yourself. We all have to learn sometime, "New player"! =)
Pre-searing, after doing ALL quests possible EVERYWHERE, I suggest highly <and it's really the ONLY good place to farm exp pre, is Across the Wall hunting charr.> Anywhere else is mediocre compared to what you CAN get by hunting across the wall. And you're not annoying, if asking questions were annoying, everyone in the world would be, too. =) --The Shim |

well it depends what ur trying to do. if u want to lvl up fast, i suggest getting the hell out of presearing and going to post and lvling up there. but there are people who try to get as high as they can in pre-searing, which is VERY VERY VERY time consuming. what you do is: 1. do eVERY quest possible, but DO NOT accept reward. by doing that, u finished all the quests but havent recieved the xp reward. 2. kill monsters until you cant get any more xp from them. i believe that if ur more than 5 lvls above a monster, they give you 0 xp. 3. AFTER you've gotten the highest lvl possible, then go get all ur rewards for quest which should boost you a couple lvls.
but this is all if you want to waste ur time lvling in pre. lot easier going to post. i've gotten to post searing at lvl 2. personaly, i prefer going post asap |

Fastest way I have found to LVL up pre-sear is to take the Ele secondary quest...let the ice golems suround you then nuke them with fire storm. Abandon it, retake it and repeat until you have reached desired lvl..but do not take the reward if you do not want a ele secondary...
PS this was before the new AI update... Not sure if it will work the same... |

I just do all my primary and secondary class skill giving quests, then get outta there...No use staying. Post-searing is better in all ways imaginable.
(If you miss a skill..you can buy it in Post-Searing...you wont miss anything but a few hundred gold). |

Personally, I love pre-searing. I've deleted a few characters just to go back and explore the place (once you leave, you cannot go back).
So take your time in pre. Explore every nook and cranny, there are many surprises, and it's one of the best areas of Guild Wars in terms of variety of environment, and even graphics. (The Catacombs are just amazing, IMO). Also, I've noticed dyes drop with greater frequency in Pre-searing. I got my only Black Dye ever in Pre (of course, as a noob, I used it on Pre-searing armor! Doh!). So have fun, and don't worry so much about leveling. Hitting level 20 is so easy, you'll probably do it before you even Ascend. |

Agree - if you want to level in pre-searing for the fun, go ahead, but it's slow. I'm still working on hitting level 14 (at about 13.5 at the moment), and the next levels will be even slower. As it is I gain no XP from Charr Shamans, 8 (when paired) from the normal Charr and 24 from a boss. Makes for long levels. Highest you can get without considerable effort (though, it is considerable already)is 16. After that you must level the enemies by dying to them repeatedly.

Nice commets however i do not understand why you want to lvl up quickly. I hated these type of games before guildwars . Take your time explore everywhere and enjoy the game for what it is " An Adventure. " !

LOL yeah your right about the fetish thing there. I guess that just stems from the other games of this type i've played but mostly just so i can get group invites and stuff coz your always more attractive the higher the level i suppose.
