Advice for Thunderhead Mission?
Hey all, I'm looking for any advice for this mission. I've tried about 7 times with henchies and with players and still can't get it right.
There are time where we'll get all the way to end defending the king and the Jade Armor and Mursaat boss will just overwhelm us. Then there's times where the king dies before we even get to him!!! I'm not sure if rushing to the king is the way to go or when we get there just stay by him and defend him. Any help would be much appreciated.....Thank you. |

It's simple really, go up to where the king is in the fort when the gates open, light both torches, and guard the steps by the king. This way it keeps all people in range of the healers radius, and blocking the steps doesn't allow enemies to get to the king. It takes ~35 minutes this way, but not one person died while we were doing it. The bonus is the same. Just stay near steps. --The Shim |

Once you cleared the keep, try to use the catapults as they would contribute to weakening and/or even killing them.
Could try stay at the centre to cover both exits, but also health check king now nd then. Last but not least, DO NOT LIGHT THE BEACONS. |

But seriously, light both, and take your time on the steps by the king. It never has failed for me <and I do the mission twice a week for fun> =) --The Shim |

Thanks for help. Somebody in our party last night said don't light beacons just protect king because the lighting the beacons was just the bonus.
Are the beacons supposed to summon help for us? |

Don't be scared by the bonus. It can be a little tougher then mission with both going at the same time, but it's highly doable. --The Shim |

The beacons summon more mursaat I believe. Here's a couple things to try:
1) Camp the king. Traps, wards, AoE's are all great here. Keep him healed and be sure to target well. This will work even with henchies. 2) Carry the torch. All of the monsters will target the torchbearer first. Just make sure your monks know what's going on, and all your other guys should have a great time clearing the place. Rico |

here's the trick for the bonus, after confessor dorian is dead, DO NOT talk to the king, go outside the fort, find and kill any remaining mursat or jade, go back in when your done, light the beacons, then talk to the king, poof, mission/bonus done...

my advice is use guild mates, everyone else sucks at it. Only beat it once with random group did it all others with guild.
My group usually stays in the middle and if guys go to king which they rarely do get a few guys to attack them. You have alot of time inbetween attacking groups to cope so dont do the 4 at one gate 4 at the other. I do all 8 stay in center of keep. PS: Bosses last ALWAYS. Accept for the dude on the lizard, stick to wall lure him to group, kill lure rest of groups starting in keep. |

I think the most important advice came from this thread: Follow the target order listed a few pages down and you will win.

And with that I'm closing this thread. Why post links when others do it for me?
