well im fairly new to pvp..

can someone explain a few words?

like:

PUG
Spiker team
iway(warrior with illu. weapon right?)

my guild always was for pve helping others but recently we have been concentrating om pvp more.. so thats why im asking.

PUG = Pick-Up Group (ie joining/creating random groups for missions, quest's, etc)

IWAY = I Will Avenge You - using the skill "I Will Avenge You" to pump up attack speel and health regen, usually R/Wr W/R's. This skill gives you an attack speed and health regen for all your "allies" that are dead - and this includes pets, which is why IWAY teams are R/W or W/R .. 8 dead pets is a nice boost to their attack speed and health regen while the IWAY skill is active.

Spiker team = team of players who's build is designed to do "spike" damage. Spike damage is damage down very quickly which "spikes" someone's health down very fast. Like if you have 8 players casting fast casting, high damage spells on 1 target in like 2 seconds.. thats spiking.

Firstly, this link is a list of some of the popular GW terms.

PUG means the same as it does in PvE: Pick Up Group. A group of people who (mostly) don't know each other, and gather on site at team arena or Halls.

Spiker team: A team who aim to all attack one target with such perfect timing that healing is rendered pointless, because the target is dead within a second or two. Usually Rangers or Air Eles, and not melee!

IWAY: Tombs teams built around the skill I Will Avenge You, or more importantly built around the fact that it is affected by not only dead party members, but dead pets also. Typically 5 or 6 axe W/R with wolf pets, and 2 Necro for special effects.
