Different Damage among axes
I really did not know where to put this. So bear with me.
I was in Seekers Passage with my running skills equipped. I just walked out of it to take some screenshots, and then there was a little lizard looking at me. As I've played a necromancer the first think I thought was "kill it". All said and done, while hitting it, I noticed my attributes were still for running 10 Healing 13 Strength 4 Axe Mastery 11 Tactics The Axes I use; Tanzits Cleaver 15>50 Lengthens Deep wound +20HP req 9 Razorstone 15>50 Double adrenaline on hit (10) Axe Mastery +1(20) req9 Chaos Axe of Fortitude +13>50 +26 HP req 11 So anyway, while hitting this lizzard I was changing weapons. The Razorstone and Tanzits Cleaver hit 5-6 damage on a consistent basis. However, when I changed to my Chaos Axe which I expected to hit for less I gained a STEADY 12 damage. I've done 8 tests now and I've seen the Chaos Axe drop lower at times, bust mostly a steady 11-12 damage, but I never saw the two green axes go above 6 damage and even 3 damage at times. I really don't know what to make of this, nor do I understand it. Ñaz edit: It seems that my Chaos Axe is hitting for about DOUBLE the damage of the other two green axes. I left 0 in Axe Mastery making it 3 points (sup rune). The range of damage is 6-12 for my Chaos Axe, mostly a steady damage of 10+ (6s are rare). The range for the two green items is 3-6 damage with mostly a steady damage of 5+ (3s are rare). Also, it seems as if it either hits for 6, or for 11 (was 12 with 4 axe mastery), I never hit for the numbers in between. The same counts for the green axes. If anyone doesnt believe this I could make a series of screenshots with damage and attribute points on the same screen. At this point I'm very certain that something is not right. Edit2: I've ran a few tests with correct attribute values aswell. It gives correct damage. 64 with the green axes and 63 damage with the Chaos Axe, seems about right. The difference with not enough attribute points though is still something I cannot explain. Last edited by Nessaja; Nov 26, 2005 at 04:18 PM // 16:18.. |

Its probably something like Green Axes and dropped axes probably act differently at lvls where you don't meet requirement.
I can say that - because thats how it is with Offhand items. A collectors/quest/green one will give a starter value of +3 energy when you equip it but dont meet requirement. But one you pick up off a drop will give a starter value of +6 energy for not meeting the requirement. So your Chaos Axe that came from off the ground orignally will probably have higher "dont meet the requirements" stats than a collectors or green axe. Thats why the difference is only noticable when you dont meet the requirements for any of them. |
