i just recently started a new char, and got a black dye drop off a lvl 1 devourer! woo! it made me quite happy, and also confused?

just started new character and got first black at 19 minutes getting scale fins for a belt pouch trade.

bet i got u all bet 600 + hours 2 months and 0 black die 4 asended charr and a 3 aborts
.... saw 1 drop for some1 eles they died .. all died in fact but me, i stole cause they die:P my roomate get mad when i remind him ... it was his:P

4 characters played all the way through - 300+ hours on each - I've seen exactly 1 black drop - and that was outside of Fort Ranick while doing the Vanguard Equipment mission on my 3rd character.

Had 2 Black dyes till now with my lvl 14 Character in Pre-Searing

His armor loves the Black dye (mixed with Silver dye)!

I have played for like 5 hours, and I have gotten 2 dyedrops so far (purple and blue I think... ), and bought some other dyes for 100g/each (no blacks or silvers though), But can anyone explain why teh black ones are the most expensive ones? Not everybody wants to be black right?

ya know, I've got almost 700 hours logged under my belt, and I've only ever seen a black dye drop once. For my guild leader. That's it, nada for me. Unhealthy amounts of Silver, even an ecto (on my first run through FoW), but never a Black. Or a Sup Abs or a Sup Vigor come to think of it....

I got a black dye once and the whole group burst into applause (after the battle, mind you)...

It's 4 and counting for me, so about 1 every 100 hours.

But the best thing ever was that sup vigour...

My very first Superior Divine Favor rune went that path. I remember actually crying, because I died, saw it, spawned, repeated those steps about 5-6 more times, got it, identified it, cheered, salvaged it, cried myself to sleep. I think it was the next update that they introduced the Garanteed thing. I wasn't a happy little Monk user, let me tell you T.T

Dye drops are much much more common in pre, Spiders near Fort Ranik drop them very often.

Spiders only drop leggs when i'm playing...

The fire bandits were the only ones I ever got a dye from. (a blue and a purple one)
