This Game Makes You Feel Bad
I don't want to cry i dont want to nag or what ever. I just wanted to say something. lately i have been wondering, i have been playing the game since july and i have played 4 characters and close to 600 hours [ i know i have no life]. I have over 200k in the bank and i realized i have nothing rare in any of my characters, nothing to show for all the hours i have spent in the game. The Best weapon i have ever found in the game was a Req8 Fiery Dragon sword with 13^50 and Defense +5 [i still have in my inventory btw]. Every time i go to Lions arch or Forge dist 1 I see people selling perfect weapons and perfect upgrades and perect everything i feel bad. I feel bad that i have never gotten anything close to the type of stuff all those sellers have. Never found a sephis never found a felblade, never found a serpent never found any of the rare stuff that every other player seem to have. And it just makes me feel bad that i wasent a good enough player. The worst part is that i have nothing else els left to do in the game. I have done everything, did all the quests, did FOW, did UW, did SF. Nothing left to do. I am probably just ventng. Any one else have any similar situation. Any one at all.

How much fun did you have doing all that stuff? How much fun do you think those people selling perfects had while they were farming?

Granted, items make a character stand out, but graphics only stretch too far. I value again, my friends and the game, not saying ITEMS don't have a whole lot of value, as they do. Anyone denying that would should be shot :P But I just don't let it get to me. So I've never gotten an ECTO, or I don't have those perfect mods..it doesn't bother me. Enjoy the time. I'm sure you enjoyed it once, pure and simple. Learn to enjoy it again. Don't let items get you down! --The Shim |

Don't feel bad. Your dragon sword is just as good as a crystalline one. Just like my Honda is just as good as my neighbor's BMW, and we all arrive at work at same time.

Uh I have only found ONE 15> 50. I never farmed that's why. I did all the missions, Some Sorrow's Furnace/Titan (can't do the last ones because it takes too long to group),most if not all quests.
This is about 900 hours on 3 characters... |

first of all, there will always be someone w/more than you, so if all you do is look over at what other people have you'll always be miserable.
secondly, as noted, I think the point of playing 600 hours of this game is to have 600 hours of fun, not gather up a bunch of imaginary virtual items to spam chats with. and lastly, you may have put in 600 hours, but those couple dozen items spamming the chats are the end result of, like, a sum total of 600 million playing hours, if you add up the whole population ---- so get over it. it's not the game that makes you feel badly, it's yourself. |

For God's sake start playing PvP, it's an endless challenge to always get better.
Stop wasting yourself farming for a new graphic, or a different mod. What are you going to do with a new mod anyway?? Farm some more??? PvP!!! |

Stuff is cool and all, but if the game ain't fun, then how much exactly is that stuff worth?
Sheesh, I get perfect weapons whenever I want. From collectors out in the desert and the Southern Shiverpeaks. Those work just dandy. |

buying money off ebay is alot like cheats, once you type /god and run past all the badies and finish the game in under an hour, you sucked out all the fun of the game.
anyway i suspect ebayers caused the gw economy to keep inflating. Last edited by coldslammer; Nov 30, 2005 at 07:54 AM // 07:54.. |

It was probably due in large part to higher prices being asked, and people supplying those prices because they wanted the item bad. Thus an unstable high market was conceived. --The Shim |
