How does Expertise Work?
Hi, I'm new to GW and started to play a Ranger (primary) ... I read the description saying Expertise will lower energy cost and shorten recharge time for attack skills, traps...etc ... I put my expertise up to 9 and checked out my current skills hoping to see some changes, however, none of my skills reduced in cost or cast time. Am i reading wrong? or does it only work with certain skills.
I have some basic marksmanship skills, expertise, WS skills, and a bunch of MEs skills. None of them seem to have changed when i pumped into this. What's wrong? |

The cost shown in the skill bar is the base cost of the skill and will always show the same. When you use the skill look at your energy bar and see how much the skill costs. This is where you will notice the difference.
Here is a link to an explanation of expertise on the main GWGuru site's guides list:GWGuru Guides ~ Expertise |

Download GWfreaks and it will calculate the skill costs for you. It is a great tool for figuring out builds.

1. Energy costs always appear the same, Expertise does reduce the costs though if you just step out side and try it.
2. Expertise does not affect recharge times. |
