Need Directions to Underworld
Searching is eluding me on this. My dad has gone through just about everything with his nuker. He hasn't been to the underworld. How do you get there?

You get through the Temple of Ages when your region has favor. Pay 1 platinum towards Grenth and you'll be transported there.
Be aware that you don't get to take henchman in there so you'll need human players. |

FoW?
Is the Field of Woe to be found in the Underworld, too, or is it someplace else?

For FOW< The FISSUE of Woe > you kneel the to the Balth Statue when we have favor <whatever country you are> and pay 1 plat to be ported down. Works the same as UW, but FoW is more group friendly for rounded groups. |

They are both in Temple of Ages:
1) you need to be ascended 2) pay 1k to Grenth for Underworld 3) pay 1k to Baltizzar for Fissure of Woah 4) If you are in american district, america has to have favor (if not, then you have to wait) woah. 5) If either ghost are not present and you have favor, then type /kneel woah. |

is it possible people aren't aware of this?
since I couldn't dig it up I verified this last night by getting there - If you want to avoid the favor issue you can go to Lornar's Pass, an entrance to UW is there. Still costs a plat, but doesn't require favor. caveats - lots of mobs, henchmen can't go so keep that in mind (ie you want to solo or do a 2man, you better be ready for the trip to get there) 2 ways to go, from WarCamp head west and north (can have a party of 8) or head south thru Beacons (normally 6 in a party unless you come from say ToA..) Last night I went from warcamp with 6 hench and another player to get there. And yep, couldn't see how henchy fair down below, and couldn't get rid of them. |

It does require favor. The statues of gods all throughout Tyria are only active when your area has favor.

/disagree - Europe had favor, we used the statue to up our morale as we had DP (also a good thing to note if the run did damage ) all other options were available. We went to buy in but were halted due to henchmen disallow, not favor. I don't believe we would have been denied entrance had we not the henchmen, I'll test that. But we did get the statue buffs while Europe ruled the roost (being US).

Were you going into UW or Sorrow's Furnace without favor?
Edit - nvm, saw your post in another thread. I'm going to have to look for that UW entrance, sounds cool. Last edited by blood4blood; Dec 15, 2005 at 07:57 PM // 19:57.. |

I disagree Ckaz. I have been out and about when the statues were not active (another realm had favor). You could /kneel all damn day if you wanted. Nothing happens. What I am almost certain happened is that favor was regained while you were working your way there.

To know if you have the favor is if the statues "Come alive". Grenth has the ice running down him, Balthazaar is on fire, Lyssa isnt wrapped up by vines, Melendru has water flowing, and Dwayna's body is floating. I would have to agree with dansamy. I was outside farming things and I had died. I knew there was a Dwayna statue nearby that I had gotten rid of DP before. When I went there the statue wasnt upright. As dansamy said, you might have missed the message that comes up saying America has won the favor. I know I've missed that message a few times...
Also if you are completely lost as to where The Temple of Ages might be here is the map of Tyria. It is in the Krytan region. http://guildwars.gameamp.com/game_ma...php!orderBy=21 Last edited by Hells Vengeance; Dec 15, 2005 at 11:59 PM // 23:59.. |

well
Ok but I still have to /disagree, I'll look to post screenshots next.
Europe's been bringing the heat lately so there it was. Think about it, what's the point of an alternate entrance if it doesn't bypass favor? Who can handle UW and NOT have ToA already? This spot would absolutely have no point if you can't enter w/o favor. So I'll look to verify with a ghost picture with a favor message popped up. And I hope the ToA map wasn't for me |

You must have Dragon's Lair on your map.
