173k to unlock all the skills?
I have a total of 173 skills left to unlock on my main account. I haven't counted how many of those are elite yet. My monk has about 105 skill points from farming. Before they did the price update to buying skills, I stocked my monk up with 50 capture signets.
I'm guessing I should be able to run around with my monk and capture all of my remaining elites. After that, I figure the fastest and easiest way to unlock the rest of the non-elites is to buy them for 1k per skill at Ember Light Camp. Reasons I'm considering spending up to 173k to unlock the rest of my skills: 1. I feel like 2k faction per skill will take longer than farming 1k gold. 2. My monk has excess skill points from farming. Do you think spending that much money to unlock my skills is wasteful or stupid? If so, please give me advice on how to easily unlock all my skills for PvP. Thanks in advance for your time! |

not all skilsl take 2k faction per skill. elites take 3k, normal skilsl take 1k. do a mix? if you have some faction saved up for like to pvp then unlock some with faction, and some via pve.

What else are you going to spend your skill points on? Seems like you've already done the hard work of earning the skill points, so go spend em! I'm assuming the money is also not a problem.
If you haven't already done so, you get skills just for changing your 2nd and also some early quests open up for each profession which will net you some more. Note that you don't need every skill either, there is redundency among them and some that you are just unlikely to use. |

I hated that update. Spent a lot of my skill points to the point where I was at 2.5k per skill since they said "stock up now" before the update. Next thing you know, they're only 1k.
I'd say that you're probably better off spending the faction on some skills like Feast of Corruption since it's so out of the way. Some of the mursaat elites can be a bother as well, or ones where the boss isn't guarenteed to be there everytime. |

If it's only unlocking you're concerned with, figure out which two classes have the most locked skills and start a PvE character with that profession combination.
Use your monk to capture all the elites. They are not difficult to capture, easily doable with henchies. Save your faction for mod unlocks. Try and save your monks skill points until you NEED specific skills for a PvP build at which time you can buy them at ember light camp. |

I'm over 425k faction and am almost UAX. (Didn't do a terrible amount of PvE since MY account was purchased AFTER I had already unlocked ele/mo on my husband's acct.)
