How come some spells say elite right next to it?

Because there are some skills that you cant buy or get from any quest. you have to Capture them off of a dead boss who posses that skill. This is more commonly known as skill capping. the skills that they carry with the gold box around them are elite skills.

tks now i have to go around trying to see where do i get the ones im intersted on like Glyph of energy, Glyph of renewal, Ether prodigy, Ether renewal and Mind burn if any1 have any ideas where to find them please reply tks for your time

Since you asked why elite, you should know that you can only equip one elite at a time
