I've been reading a lot of Forum Posts with mixed views on the game. Seen as this is a Fan Website, I was wondering if you wouldn't ming posting why You enjoy Guild Wars.

I liked PvE, first time around, even second time around it was okay; after that very monotonous.
I do like areas such as FoW and SF from time to time, but in my opinion, what makes Guild Wars stand out is the GvG. I have played around ten MMORPG type games, and, for me, this is the best PvP in any game. Just my humble opinion. |

I dont have a high opinion of the pvp system, but i wont get into that, this is after all why we like gw
For me its the pve. I loved the storyline first time round and it went on for alot longer than i thought it would, so that impressed me. Now all that is done my main interest is 'collecting' until the exp pack comes out, most of the time im looking/saving for rare weapons. |

i like making builds in any game. Guild wars gives you infinate chances to discover a new cool build. I've played my Ranger/Mesmer since the last beta. Just recently (thanks to the IDS ) I've found a couple of new builds that FINALLY let me solo with her. I've tried interupts, traps, degen, spike... you name it. I love messing with the skills, seeing how this skill complements that one, and those 2 go well together... you know the story

i haven't played much of it, but i like how it's completely different(in a good way) than any other mmorpg i've played. and since i have played (and still play) Lineage 2, Phantasy Star Online, World of Warcraft, Everquest II, and Dark Age of Camelot, i'd say that's saying a bit. Guild Wars is awesome, My only wish is that the level cap would be a raised in a future expansion

I mostly play PvE, although the Snowball Arena was awesome! I used to love the destruction that my ele could do, but since that got nerfed, I like playing around with my warrior. The IDS gave me a chance to play around with mesmer secondary and the Christmas stuff gave me something to farm for, i.e. Candy Canes. Now that that is over, I'm going to work on getting the rest of my toons up to level 20 until the next release and perhaps collect green weapons.

2. The graphics are just sooo fluid in many areas of the game. ANet's support with continual improvements and holiday events is nothing short of spectacular. (No fees, either). |

I don't enjoy PvP much - too many arseholes it seems using geek talk (pwn etc - spell properly FFS), but I do enjoy PvE as it gives me a chance to quest with friends, which is something an off-line RPG can't do

I find the jerks online one of the most entertaining parts. It's incredible how upset people get over a game or some virtual item. The fact that people can be such pricks when they are anonymous is a bit distubring though.

For me it's also the PvE which interests me most. I also played diablo, which was also a pretty good game, tho i must say i like this game better. No ppl dropping in when you are about to finish a quest and wanting to kill everyone in sight. And the dropsystem is marvelous!
Furthermore Anet seems alot more active in the community then Blizzard ever was, which seems to keep some of the real jerks out. |

Its Free of charge, PvE and GvG very good (PvP sort of generic, could make it bit more interesting) Quests and Missions are really fun, and of course, the guilds are mostly made of good players who are also nice people to be with. O ya, and they have in-game updates, so no waiting for patches like WoW. The graphics are also extremely good and the builds and pre-made builds are great to experiment with.

Anyways, I love Guild Wars because: - it's graphical advantages over several games. - superior targeting controls. C + Spacebar <3 - Many..many..many..skills. Though this IS a lovely game, there are some disadvantages. - Nerfing of my lovely Elementalist. I got around the patch fairly quickly..but it's just not the same anymore. -Many..many..assholes <--Just because I use a smiley, it doesn't mean I'm a girl and you can advance on me... -Exploits on money/unfair prices for new players. No I do not want to buy your perfect white long sword for 6k. There are probably more things that piss me off from the in game community, but I won't bother mentioning it. As for PvP in this game. Yes it's fun and absolutely addicting. However, I like Diablo's dueling system more -_-. Guild Wars has a great system as it's based on skills, but it lacks that..bragging right that those 1337 duelers have in d2. You join a game and you start killing everything in your way, intense. Oh my, I seem to have gone way off track o.o.. um uh Long Live Guild Wars! |

Being able to game again with the three older kids (all in their thirties) and the late arrival (18) still under the roof. And some of the grandkids. We played a lot of board games and pen and paper games while they were still at home. Kind of thought those days were over, so this is great. Mrs. Overhill doesn't play, but then she was never a gamer in the first place. Oh well, she is at a computer all day at the office, so i can hardly blame her.

I'm a PvEr. One, I'm a MMORPGer, so I'm more for the less-competetive side of GW. Second, lore. GW is one of those games with so many stories and so much lore that it adds on quite to its rating. I guess it's just a combination of it being a MMORPG in ways, and, of course, quests. Quests and missions keep you going as well.
