to level 20! - Guild Wars Forums

im a total noob to this game(and this forum) ive got 2 level 10 characters. and i was wondering: How long does it usually take to get to level 20? will it take the same time as it did to get to level 10 twice? or is it not a linear scale.

No its not linear, the xp it takes to go up a level increases per lvl. To get to lvl 20 took me 30-40 hours or maybe more i think. Its a good ride along the way though

Not linear; it is easy however to do. Obviously, everyone progresses at a different rate - you'll level faster facing higher level foes, so if you keep progressing through the game you'll get there faster than if you stay in a low level area. A guess is that people hit level 20 in about 30-100 hours, depending on the rate of play and stuff. It'd be hard to picture it taking longer than that, and to make it shorter would require help I suspect, getting fast tracked a bit - though quite doable; I hit level 16 in about 5 hours of play with one toon, that's not a record I'm sure, but a good example of how fast you can gain if you try.

well that depends, how long did it take you to get to lvl 10,
how much do you play?

i made a ranger and i was at lvl 20 by about 10 days of play..it all depends on how much you play and the understanding of your character and how you play your character, thats all..

if this is your first rpg game( mmo, whatever) it will take some time in understanding where to go and the accention process and some other mission.

you'll be ok..

my first level 10 took about 2 weeks (basically since xmas) and my second was in about 6 days.....so i guess experience helps a lot

I found that if you do all the npc questes (good source of xp) and do the missions, I will reach level 20 around latter Krytia / Wilds regions.

If you ascend at lvl 16 youll become 20. I think I ascneded at 15 and became like 19.5.

don't do levelling for xp..just do the missions, and get levle 20 by ascending..much quicker IMO and less hassle
