You can salvage the offhand focus 'Scroll', which requires earth magic, to get parchment. IIRC, the Scroll has to be a fairly decent one (7/8 energy bonus and above) to give parchment. +12 energy scrolls with the 'Highly Salvagable' mod on them can give a fair bit of parchment.

And don't get confused between focus item Scrolls, and XP-boosting scrolls like 'Scroll of Hunter's Insight', etc. I don't think you can salvage anything from 'em. Also, I don't believe you can salvage the collector's Scrolls with an Energy Storage requirement.

So, yeah, good luck hunting down Scrolls to salvage (try slaughtering ele-type enemies

), though I personally find it less hassle to craft parchment at an artisan. And have fun.
