I am about to buy the game, I have just a few questions
1)I like to know, about the skills allocations, after you have made your character, can you still re-locate your skill points?
2) I am thinking to make a Ranger/Monk, a continuation from my experience playing Neverwinter Night. I am not sure how powerful will this combaination do in combat, but say if I find this the most dull character design, is there other class good for going with a Ranger you would recommand? Thanks very much. |

skill points? they are used to buy skills, there's no way of "selling" your skills again.
i think you mean attribute points, wich allow you to make those skills more powerful..and yes, you can play with those attribute points as much as you like, you will never run short of them, because you keep them ^^ ranger...it's good with any class really, most of the rangers just stick with their ranger skills...they're good on their own r/me is good for later on the game (you'll see) |

Yes, I meant attribute indeed.
One more question: Guild Wars Chapter 2- Is it a expansion pack of Guild Wars? Or an entire different game? |

Chapter 2 is kinda both. It is indeed standalone, but will also integrate, if you have the original. So, if you only have the original, you will only be able to play those characters and content. If you have only the expansion, you can play the new characters, "core" versions (fewer skills) of the original characters, and only the new content (a whole storyline and continent called Cantha). If you have both, you have full access to all characters (still waiting to find out how many character slots, though), and the entire set of content.

On the Ranger/Monk thing, I've been leveling up my Ranger/Monk for a week or so, he's now level 15 - I chose monk for the ressurect spells. I will be switching to Ranger/Mesmer at times for Mantra of Concentration for trapping.

Thanks guys for the advice.
I have now ordered the game, and should be with me in a few days. I was attracted by the graphic, and the endless counter strike styled (kind of, in my view anyway) of PvP. But I would also enjoy chating with people, advanture around, explore and killing monsters as well, so I guess I will be making a RP character. My question is, would my RP character be able to entre some PvP areas as well? |

You can pvp with your pve character and that might be a good idea at first until you get almost everything unlocked.

yeah i have try the trial version (the one on pvp weekend now). All i can say is that it is really impressive..^^..beside that, it is better for you to hook on a guild. If you plan to play as a loner in this game, you are missing out the fine part of Guild Wars. ^^

numbers are needed for the later regular parts of the game but they do not need to be human (though sometimes it helps -friends list is invaluable then) |

You can indeed enter any of the same PvP zones with an RP character and as you level up prior to entering the maxed level arenas you will find arenas for certain level ranges (Up to level 10 in Ascalon, up to level 15 IIRC in the Shiverpeaks etc.) and what's more a PvE character can actually compete with the maxed out rune-festooned PvP characters because of the easy availability of "perfect" weapons in this game (Collector's from the Desert onwards). Typically it seems that people will use their RP characters to unlock skills, runes and upgrades and then keep a PvP slot so they can have flexibility.
I'm unsure if you're aware of this but PvP characters automatically start at max level so it's not exactly a chore to create a PvP character in any case. EDIT: I was a tube and said "easy ability" instead of "easy availability" I blame caffeine... Yes caffeine Last edited by Injektilo; Jan 23, 2006 at 01:09 AM // 01:09.. |

I see, very fun indeed, Injektilo.
And even with the PvE character, I can add and subtract the attributes points even after the character is created/leveled, as much as I like? I ask this because, with Neverwinter's Night, a game I am used to, the "skill points" can not be changed after you have decided when you are leveling up. |

Just to add, ultimately all PvE characters will be superior than PvP characters. (due to that PvP character has limited option in choosing equip)
