Tombs and Ecto?!
I nearly crapped myself when I saw a post about finding ectoplasm in tombs... the problem is, I dont know what enemies are in the tombs or even where the tombs are.
I would like to start getting ecto to save up for my fissure of woe armor because It looks good for one :P Anyways, if you can help ASAP, I would like to start farming Also, do 55 monks work there... trappers... axe warriors... etc? |

55 monks will get owned. There are chained souls that appear after every group of monsters, that use rend enchantments.

To answer one of your original questions, you can find Tombs when you walk from dragons lair (after ascension you get here automatically) to tombs. It's just a portal, not foes in between. You will find a lot of mesmer foes in UW, including enchantment removal and interrupts. Have fun!

You'd think that, but most parties go in with 3 monks, 3 ele/mesmers (fire nukers), 1 warrior (aka the tank), and one necro (as the mana battery for the rest).
I've been in one trapping party, but they still need monks and in my experience they tend to leave when they discover how slow it goes, compared to the nuking party. |

actually trapping parties are MUCH faster IMO...
1 monk using word of healing as elite and boon healing ( which gets removed on occasion) one necro using BIP 1 dedicated trapper ( 16ws 15 exp QZ and ew and 4 traps staff wielder) 3-5 rangers with ws and marksmanship using barrage as theyre elite using fire and barbed trap and savage shot back up intterupt a war whos bored most the game and keeps aggro off the monk and necro works much faster with a LOT less dp than nukers... barrage fires faster and does more DPS than meteor storm as far as I can tell.. |

Then i been in a bad trapper party :S
and why are those trapper partys asking for 3 monks then? And i havent see a war either, nor any trapper party asking for em. btw how long does a trapping run take, with me mates (in nuker build) it takes 2 hours, 2.5 tops. At some point the aggro usually goes bad and someone dies, or a few more ppl, but then it's usually over. I agree with Angel on those times. Yesterday evening we had a 8 man Tomb Raiders party consisting out of 1 W/Me, 3 E, 3 Mo, 1 N
We almost were in constant battle and finished lvl 1 in 6 minutes, lvl 2 took 30ish minutes. Lvl 3 we hit 3 groups with aggro in stead of 2, so it took us a bit longer because of res and regrouping. Lvl 4 was major ownage, only 1 time of regen, just before we hit the bosses. Total time was 1h and 18 minutes, so with the right group, and correct skills this can be done darn fast! BTW, no green drops for me, but i didnt care bout that, the way we owned the Tombs was satisfying enough! |

2 ectos dropped in my group I did today... none for me, I was only able to pick up the regular stuff people left behind.
I tried with mercs... those mercs aggro everything under the sun! It seems that the mercs were not able to get me past the bridge in the tombs... well I got past it, but that was after all the mercs died due to ghouls popping out of thier asses.... seriously, where the hell did they come from?! Mercs with tombs = hard to do Also, I get too jealous when tombing with people because I never get ectos, lol :/ |
