Another way to do it is a little more annoying to the admins, But it gets it looked at. I do a /bug and the name and a tracking reference Number...
Then I post in the support area with that reference in it, and refer them to the bug log which takes a Server Image of the current state of the game. What does this do? Well it makes it easy to cross reference the report to a server log. and also allows for easily capturing of both the offenders IP number, and his ID Key in the database... Cause that is part of the /Bug system... I have asked many times for Anet to add a /report command that is a separate log list... so as not to get them confused... But it has not happened yet... Thankfully not too many use this option... I have used it to report 5 gold reseller accounts in the past, each of which have been long since purged from the system. I was told in support that this was an innovative and effective way of reporting EULA violators as it allows them to Query the logs for the reference number and turn up a full log of the conversations and effected users in the district... I fully expect /report will show up eventually... right now only a handful of people report using the /bug command that I know of... But it is still important to do a follow up post on the support pages, otherwise your just wasting their time.... Unless they want to read through every ambiguous /bug log looking for the offenders... they have better things to do... So make sure if you do this to make the followup post with the reference number... I use my initials and a 5digit number for my references.. this assures little chance of duplication. |

I always thought that /bug was for people that were (bug)ging you anyways. (smile)

reminds me of diablo2 LOD.. i was xfering items with a SO CALLED Friend on a passworded game.. i drop the items im about to xfer... bring in my mule hes gone and the items... im like where did you go??? hes like " just the way it goes" im like (censored) than im like we played together were friends. blah blah blah.. i think hell was involved..in the end he was like sorry and he will give it back...and im like keep it.
i mean if they steal from you i wouldnt trust them...and for the loss of your item.. i doubt A.net will get on his account and give you the razorstone.. get to trust your friends better...cause some are there to scam and take your items even if borrowing. |
