lets say if an gold axe has 23+hp base mod. If i expert salvage that, will i get the upgrade?

Although it's not proven, there is an approximate 33% chance to get a mod off of a weapon. So, the answer is that you have a 33% chance to get the mod, or a 67% chance of getting some nice steel ignots.

Unless you have a perfect hp mod and you get the ingots instead. :P

I almost always get the mod off of a weapon. For me its more like 95% you'll get the mod (or one of the mods if there is 2).

are you sure that is some what right...because i usually get the mod prolly 90% chance or more

i also found for some reason maybe its just for me but if you have like 5 or less uses left in a expert salvage kit they seem to always fail and give you materials ensted of the mod unless its a rune your trying to get but maybe thats just my luck with 5 or less uses
