Quick lvl 20?
is there really a place where you can kill yourself and automatically get lvl 20? I've heard about it and seen it on a map, augary rock, does this method of leveling up exist? If so what is the easiest way of getting there? If you can help many thanks

You don't kill YOURSELF, you kill your mirror self/doppleganger. And you don't automatically get to level 20 (though you may have in the past) - you get 50,000 xp for it though. But first you have to complete the 3 ascension missions in the Crystal Desert.

Your best bet is to just play through the game normally to get to level 20. The ascension (beating your mirror self) gives you 50,000 XP, but by then you should already by close to, if not level 20 if you played through the game normally. The only way to get to Augry Rock quickly is to be ran through the game for money.

Okay. The three missions are called Dunes of Despair, Elona Reach, and Thirsty River.
When you "go inside" and "talk to the spirits" -- it means you have found where to ascend AFTER you have done these missions. Easiest way is to find a runner to these towns. If you want to really impress people, find them on your own by exploring the desert. |

A quick way is to possible get some type of farming build or something that can plow thru enemies fast, and beforehand use a rare scroll for like 3x the exp or something.

is there any advantage to not killing doppelganger to get to around level 20 fast, i.e. if i got to level 20 by just adventuring and finding my own way around, which would be cool and something i'd like to do, then what use are 50k xp after that? If no use, i might as well get to 20 then spend time adventuring etc.

Killing your doppelganger is Ascension, the reason why you ended up in the desert and not somewhere else (part of the storyline).
For 3 of my characters, I killed their doppelganger after they hit level 20, like you I went around adventuring and exploring. XP is still handy after hitting lvl 20, as you gain skill points... useful to have for when buying skills or capping skills. |

But it shouldn't matter, if you play the game out even skipping some quests, you should be able to reach 20 before beating your dopelganger.

Disclaimer: I do not suggest this course of activity for anyone going through the game the first time. The fastest way to get to 20. Get run to Drok's for armor. Get run to and through Sanctum to get to the desert. Get run to Augury, Elona, Thirsty and Dunes. Get run through all of the missions, research the best/fastest way to ascend with your character. Then find a 55 character that is solo-farming hydras and offer to pay to tag along. Get a couple double-xp scrolls and you should ding at least once per run. The only problem you may have... Getting the appropriate skills to beat your mirror. Having a guild that will help you obtain/cap whatever is necessary is helpful, but you can pay for pretty much anything in the game. |

I wanted a ranger and with the help of my guild I went from the start of the game to lvl 20 in a single day. It isn't hard at all as long as you have some lvl 20 friends to help you out.
