Level 1 in Ring of Fire! Is this really possible?
I was going to put this in the level 1 in droks thread, but thats closed now.
Some months back I was in Ring of Fire, trying to get a group (no monks as usual), when along comes a level 1 monk. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes, but here are some screenshots anyway. He was saying something about getting run to THK, and doing that with 1 henchless. Not sure how that would stop him getting exp from the mission though... If this is inappropriate after the closure of the previous thread, feel free to close/move the thread. |

I sure hope that isn't photoshopped. To me, it's basically impossible to get run on Thunderhead Keep without getting the experience from them defending the king. A level 1 getting experience for having his party members kill level 20 mursaat would level him up automatically, even without the 1,000 XP from completing the mission.

Unless you die in the beginning of THK there really isn't much you can do to stay level one. Not to mention in presear I think you have to do a couple of quests that add up to roughly 50% of level one meaning extremely low tolerance for exp once you hit THK.
Don't have any idea how that could happen. |

So, all you need is to be run from Beacon's Perch to Droknar's to Thunderhead Keep. Complete Thunderhead Keep and you're at Ring of Fire. So, THK is really the only one that you can't avoid getting experience for. Can anyone answer the question - do you still get experience after you die in a mission from your party members killing the monsters? I though the answer was "yes" (I'm 100% sure that you get the completing the mission experience). |

You also can just stay behin in THK and not get any exp, as long as your not need anybody argo circle, but you would the 1k exp at end of mission. I think you have to do like 2 quest in pre then fight the ranger boss but if he did that with other people, no henchies, and just stayed behind it could be done, but the only hard part would be the pvp arena at the end of pre, making sure you dont get exp. It is possible but really hard to do... LOL all beat me to it.... |

I think they nerfed this... You used to be able to get through pre doing less quests, but now the total ammount of required quests to go to searing is like 150xp away from lvl 2. assuming you died at the start of the fight and didn't get any experience when you seared, you'd still get 1k experience from THK, making you lvl 2.
so, it WAS possible, but not anymore, as far as i know. |

Anet has stated very clearly that the entire path there was just for that purpose. If you don't choose to be ran somewhere don't do it but why the hell do you think you should tell other people what the can or can't do when it is an intentional part of the game |

It's not photoshopped, although as I said, if i hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have thought it possible, and would have thought the same thing. Anyway, he made it sound like he somehow glitched THK to not give him the xp for finishing the mission.

in pre sear if u get someone to do the quests for u and stay away from the combat u can get much less xp than what you would normally.
Also... if u just stay back at the start of THK u still get xp from the Ice golems and stone summit at the start Jiao |

I agree with Rilder.
Anyway, back to the original question. AFAI can remember you can't get to ring of fire with less than 1600 EXP. Anyone know what EXP you need for level 2? |
