What are faction points? What are they used for? Where can I redeem them?

search seems to be disabled

faction points are earned by pvp play and can be traded in to unlock (for pvp only) skills, runes, and other upgrades

you earn faction from competing/winning battles in the pvp areas.
they are used to unlock skills/weapons...etc
in any pvp area (a red area on your map) you can find a priest of balthazar to redeem the points.
