Anyone know of any places where gold/purple canes drop? Thanks in advance.

The green canes from Sorrows Furnace area are good.

But I'd try the desert, I got a +5 energy enchanted, 10% improved casting - one dmg off max from there wich I thought was pretty good for a can drop.
