Should I Be Worried?
(Does this belong in Tech Support?)
Code=035... I just got booted because, "You have been disconnected from Guild Wars because another client has connected using your account. Please try again later." Okay, does anyone else find this a tiny bit bad? Has anyone gotten this error? Extensive googling has returned nothing, scouring eleven pages of NCSoft Tech Support FAQs has returned nothing, and it seems like I'm the only soul to ever get this error. Any help is more than appreciated. Thanks, Guys. (And thanks to whoever the mod was that moved this to the correct forum ^_^) Last edited by TopGun; Mar 01, 2006 at 04:45 AM // 04:45.. |

Did you download any add-ons or anything for guildwars? You might have gotten a keylogger and someone logged into your account.

That happens when you try to teleport to a full district while out of town. Could that be it?

I didn't download any add-ons whatsoever, but Bam may have it. I might have tried to zone to District 1 of Hero's while in the Isle of the Nameless. I'll try and reproduce the error...
I was able to reproduce an error, but not the error. I was able to get error 04something, which says "Guild Wars could not complete the operation." ...extensive testing, and my most valiant efforts still can't seem to reproduce the error. Other theories? I don't think I was "hacked," as I have a software firewall, a hardware firewall (router), Anti-Virus programs, and Spybot. On a sidenote, I've memorized the purpose of every process running in my Task Manager, and nothing new is in there, so that's a good sign, too. Everything seems normal. No strange applications running, no weird noises, no organized groups in Tombs, and no pop-up ads telling me how to make my ____ bigger or get laid in thiry minutes. Just in case... 1st thing Change your password... NOW!!!
this can be done easily by logging in. choose the edit account button on the bottom left of the character selection screen... choose change password, and follow instructions.... It could be that you had a rather simplistic easy to hack password... it could be that you use the same password email address combination on a forums for instance and it was retrieved from there... it could be you have used it at a cafe or something and someone copied your password and logged in from the last profile information and what they saw. Who knows. But the time has come to protect your account and change that password to prevent it from happening again. (Note to others... never use your same email / password combo on fan websites, in fact your login email should be 100% unique from use for anything else...) Or you could have a key logger Trojan of some kind... and it just got it at random... Obviously do antispyware and antivirus scans regularly, and Change your password ASAP. To prevent anyone else gaining access to your account. If it persists, (even if it doesnt persist actually) you should contact [email protected] ASAP with your concerns so they can look into the matter. and finally the most benign... you could have experianced an instance lag that tricked the servers into thinking you were logged in twice... in any case. for your own peace of mind I would still recomend changing your password. It seems you've taken every reasonable precaution. I'd chalk it up to a weird GW error and move on. Still, keep your eyes peeled in case anymore weirdness pops up.

I get this all the time, and as has been said before, you should be able to reproduce this by trying to map to a full district when you are in an EA.
