Are Fellblades able to show their dyed color??
Just a quick little question, that I couldn't find the answer to in the forum searches, but, are fellblades able to be dyed? Meaning, if I dye it, will the color show up really well, or will the picture of it in the inventory be what I dyed it, but still look the same while I'm shown wielding it? If it IS possible to be dyed, with the color being shown, may I see a picture of one dyed please? Don't want to waiste any more money than I already have on dyeing something that won't show the color =(. Thanks.

Don't bother dying it. Dying it only slightly changes the color of the handle. The handle starts as black, so when you dye it another color, it hardly changes at all.....waste of dye. You can always try by purchasing a cheap dye and seeing what effects it has and if you like it or not.

Yeah black dye is about the only dye that makes it change enough to make it look any better and to keep you from wasting a dye. Still black dye doesn't do a hole lot of good.

For instance, an undyed fellblade has a rusty type color under the shadow effect. If you dye it silver, the rust color is gone. This leaves a shiny blade with the shadow effect on it instead of the tarnished look it came with. All the other colors function the same way. The entire sword is dyed, blade and all. The shadow effect stays the same color no matter what. |

Yeah, minor details. Good if you have money to waste, so that you can tweak your character look to perfection.

Just be careful about dying it too dark... you can't see the shadows as much anymore.

I dyed mine silver to give it a really sharp sheen. In my opinion, it's the best color for it, and not nearly as expensive as black.
No matter what color you dye it, the change is subtle, but enough to make it worth the dye if you value style while slaying your enemies. This picture would wreck the H-scroll, so I'm just going to post the link: http://www.auturgy.net/files/GuildWa...0Fellblade.jpg Last edited by Auturgist; Feb 17, 2006 at 06:23 PM // 18:23.. |

Love the screenshot, Auturgist. Looks good. Only thing is (don't think this is negative because my war uses a fellblade and I think they are the best looking sword in the game so far) screenshots do NOT do Fellblades justice.

no need for black dye try (y o g s)
Heres what it did to mine Y+O+G+S in one vial made it look blacker then black and cheaper then black dye.
By the way if you use the same combo on Glad armor you get a 24K gold. |

If im not mistaken the handle is a redish purple color. I remember when I got my first fellblade I used dye remover thinking it would get rid of the color on the handle but it didnt go away. If you don't dye it, then its kinda ugly. Who wants a rusty sword anyways
Since its almost black I decided to use black dye and it came out perfect. Black and night and I think the shading and partical effects are just fine. |

*Looks at silver, looks at yellow*
I'd prefere yellow for a nice light-reflecting colour. |
