It's getting annoying how often the search function is disabled, so I'm trying to take it easy on spamming "Search" on every reply to every question.
Anyway, Fame is linked to PvP, in order to gain Fame you must participate(and win) certain PvP game types, such as GvG, and Hero's Ascent. Fame is linked to the infamous Rank, you gain rank based on your amount of fame(not sure of the exact numbers). For a newer player interested in PvP, you should probably focus on progressing through the PvE aspect of the game, and concentrate on unlocking skills, runes, and so on for PvP. I'll leave my personal feelings about Rank out, so I hope this helps a bit, feel free to ask if you're unsure about anything else. |

Fame does nothing, faction allows you to unlock skills @ a priest of balthazar.

All fame does is unlock certain emotes that do nothing except show how leet you are (or how much you can play IWAY ), it only applies to Heroes Ascent play, you don't earn it for anything else and guilds that demand you have X fame aren't worth belonging to.
