Update/Audio problems
from gw.com
Audio Updates: * Improved the performance of the game's audio engine. * Added a new slider to the Game Options panel to adjust sound playback quality. * Added support for DirectX 3D sound (DS3D) hardware acceleration. Ok,now the sound of my weapon hitting a foe is muted at best, or completely silent. This causes a problem with timing skills, not sure if previous skill has hit yet.Anyone else having this problem? |

I wish I could comment on this but I can't even log-in anymore. I'm always getting error code 072.

i lost all sounds except effect sounds ... i use sound blaster live 24bit i have the latest drivers
When i start GW all sounds are muted ... when i say all i mean all . edit uninstalling the drivers and installing the new and disabling the accelaration worked. Edit Edit: i do get other sound problem however, sometimes some sounds lockup and loop till i go crazy (thats since the last update too) Last edited by dronex; Mar 11, 2006 at 03:44 PM // 15:44.. |

I have to say that i have no problems with the sound since the update, think it sounds a lot better than before
Can you turn the hardware acceleration off on your cards, or in game? that usually solves any problems, especially with sound blaster cards, they all seem to be a bit buggy :-/ Either that or are hard for games to be made fully compatible with them. |

I'm having the same problem, sounds worse now than before the update and it doesn't matter where the slider for the quality is. I'll have to check what sound card I'm using when I get home and see if there is an update for the drivers. Also, Zaxan, are you referring to the hardware acceleration? Sorry for the dumb question.
