A few GW:F questions. - Guild Wars Forums

1. How can I bring my existing characters over to Cantha?

2. How many new character slots will I recieve?

3. Will there be a new pre-sear sort of place in GW:F?

4. Do I need to buy anything to transfer my characters?

These questions won't be able to be answered unless a game dev goes into LA, or until it's released. But I can take a guess to it....just don't quote me later on. I think they might do what they did on Diablo 2, to where you have a choice to make it an expansion character. As for the character slots, they might give 1? who knows, I wish there was 7 slots. The pre-searing was in chapter 1, and I've heard some talk that you can start a character waaaaaaay back in the presearing, and then simply fihgt all the way to Chapter 2. Or, you could just start a high lvl character in Chapter 2 (so i've heard).

1. Yes, provided you buy factions and link it to your prophecies account
2. With linking, 2 additional, if you don't link (which negates #1) 4
3. Yes, but only for characters that start there, you won't be taking your level 20 wa/mo from Tyria to it.
4. All you need is to own a copy of factions and have it linked to your prophecies account

You will be able to access Cantha by clicking on the boat icon that currently takes you to the Battle Isles. I assume that with the release of factions you will be able to choose whether you want to go to the Islands or to Cantha.
