Please use corect English on your post, not sure hand, its in the rules you know.
To ascend make your way to the desert, there are 3 missions to complete, then you have to beat your mirror image and there you have it. However you need to complete some other quests first before you can change your 2nd profession. On the note do use the search function, this question has been asked plenty of times, heck there are guides on the net that tell you what to do. I used it and found this guide: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ghlight=ascend Its not the best search function in the world, but you need to check the results it comes up with, not just the first one or two Last edited by RTSFirebat; Mar 20, 2006 at 01:58 PM // 13:58.. |

I will probably never ascend. I don't know what it is, I lack good skills, can't find a good party, hench don't help me either. Actually, I suck at this game. I came to Droks and from there on I'm stuck.
To be short; I have no idea what descending is. |

It sounds like you got yourself run from Beacon's Perch to Droks on your first playthrough, Kitty. I'm sorry to hear that, as it will leave you feeling lost and confused. You really shouldn't get run until you've played the game through a couple of times and know how things work, since essentially you just skipped a good half of the game and are now sitting in the end-game content with only mid-game character and understanding of things.
Do yourself a favor and go back to Beacons. Grab the henchmen, and try heading out the northern entrance. You'll make your way to Kryta doing that and continue on with the story that running to Droks skipped. It's sad, but many new players get told that they have to run to Droks when they first get to Beacon's Perch. Spread the word: you don't have to. Droks runs are for players that have played the game through many times and want to skip ahead so they can try new builds which would otherwise be inaccessible. It's a wonderful thing, but only for a veteran player. |

Return to Asalcon and do all the missions and quests, your'll be pleased to know that you pick up plenty of skills and know-how along the way. You don't suck, your just a newbie sadly. One of the reasons Droknar's Forge should be closed off to anyone who has no ascended. |

I think I am meant to play this game for fun only, and never to acomplish something like ascending or farming for good items. |

Don't get so down on yourself.
My first time through the game I felt the same way when I was in Meguuma. The problem turned out not to be anything wrong with me as a player, but rather a case of the mid-level-blues. It happens in every RPG. The low level people gain levels and new skills/attribute fast. The high level people have maxed out everything and can farm or do other impressive things. The mid-level people are left feeling completely useless. You'll get past it. It just takes a while. By the time you've beaten the game (or a certain mission called Thunderhead Keep, which you'll never forget once you get there) you'll be ready to try taking on the challenges of soloing. A mid level character simple doesn't have enough attribute points or skills to try any of the flashy stuff like soloing. I know when I hit Meguuma my first time I thought I should be able to solo by that point in the game and was terribly disappointed in myself when I couldn't. The same thing happened again when I got to the desert, and I officially gave up on ever being able to solo or farm. Then, having given up on it, when I later got near to beating the game, I was surprised that when I went back to the places I had tried to solo before, I could do it. So just hang in there. For now just enjoy playing the game; a point will come later when you can solo and there's no reason to feel disappointed in yourself that you can't do it just yet. Edit: Oh, and ascending is a part of the normal story-line that happens before you get to Droks. Trust me, you'll be able to ascend when the time comes. It may be difficult at first, but never too difficult that you simply have to give up. Last edited by Jenosavel; Mar 20, 2006 at 02:37 PM // 14:37.. |

First time through
This is my first time through the game i'm a W/N lvl 17 i got myself a run to droks at 16 because i heard about the good armour so i thought i'd take a look (there was a free run at the time). Found myself some nice plate so i decided to map back to kryta and do the mission there i've got as far as beacons on the map so far and managed to gather myself the helm, gloves, chest and pants to the 1.5k set and just about to get the boots.
Jenosavel mid level palyers can farm it just isn't as obvious where we can do it, it's how i've got my armour so far. It just goes to show not everybody who gets rushed skips half the story out, actually i was kinda sad part was through the game i couldn't get a group for the frost gate so i decided to run past it when i got to gryphons mouth and found that piece of information from aiden it kinda saddened me i had to find out before doing the mission. *stars are to protect first timers |
