I'm a level 9 w/r noob finishing up the pikin square missions and i wanted to know if i can start farming items for a profit? If i can please tell me where i need to go and what to farm, if not tell me when it becomes profitable to start farming. Thanks in advance for all posts.

I would start farming ettins for runes when you get to lions arch if you really want to start making money soon, but above that i reccommend play through the game first so you can get all of your skills for different farm builds. Aside from that the drops get better later game. You can make money faster if you wait in effect.

Play through the game, level up, learn the skills for your profession, do the two 15 attribute point quests (you should then have 200 attribute points), capture some elite skills, then check the posts for farming for your profession.
It will be much easier to farm after your character is fully developed. |

It all depends on what kind of farming you do. as said fully develope your character first. try other secondary professions when you reach the desert, get the 2 extra 15 attribute point quests.
You can find plenty of builds and guide on other sections of the forum. |

At your level you will profit more from quest rewards. Just keep chugging along through the storyline, ignoring your bank account for a while. The farther along in the game you get, you'll see the value of drops steadily increase.

I personally use my farm w/mo to get a few thousand and then use that to run my new chars through to higher places
