Here's a tip. You can't stack preparations such as Apply Poison and Ignite Arrows. But you can stack one of them with the Monk skill Judge's Insight. Check this...Ignite Arrows, Judge's Insight, then shoot with the Elite skill Poison Arrow.

First off, Welcome. I agree with some of the other posts. I've played all the character types(but Mesmer primary) and I have so much fun with my ranger. You have the widest variety with them it seems to me. I've been nodding my head as i have been reading through the posts. Alot of good info. Some key points i've noticed and completely agree with.
1. Dont get suckered into buying a green bow just for looks. Find one that suits your current skill set and use that one. i.e. Inturrupt, trapping(though i use a staff mostly), or pet barrage. 2. take the time in Pre-searing to explore different ways to play the character and develop your playstyle. 3. Ignore the taunts from ignorant players who say rangers aren't usefull. I ALWAYS bring a ranger wherever i go. And a swift kick to the Wammo's who complain. That's about it. By the way My IGN is Vita Three Point Oh, if you have questions drop by and ask. |

What's a good bow for pre-sear? Will I need anything other than the starter bow?
and what's a good bow for post-sear? From what I've heard if you do all the quests and chill in pre-sear for a while you'll leave around lvl 8 or 9... Which I plan to do. So what's a good bow for that level range? |
