Confusion about skill title
As said by the title, I don't understand about the title for capturing elite skills. As someone pointed out in one thread (can't remember who or in which one) one would have to capture all the elites from every profession to get even the first rank if they didn't have factions, and this was all supposed to be with one character. I don't know about everyone else, but this seems absolutely ridiculous to me... maybe I'm misreading it and it's actually with normal skills?

Some people have done that already I think. I'm only a few warrior and ranger elite skills away from capping all of the elites (Mineral Springs so far away, grrr).
The titles should take some effort to earn, and I think that this skill capping title seems okay. |

But think of all the work that you've done just to get nearly all the Prophecies and core elite skills. Now think how much time and effort that took, and remember that is what is required just for the first rank.

Yes but otherwise everyone would have the titles which would make them worthless.
If you think this title is bad have a look at the Tyrian Explorer one. Tyria is pretty big. It would take a long time and be very tedious to explore every nook and cranny of the continent. |

All prophecies skills on mesmer, 174 of 300 points saved for factions.
It really isn't that hard to collect all the skills, much less all the elites, especially as mesmer isn't known for megafarming. I don't consider it a title to aim for, skillpoints just come along as you farm/do missions/quest, etc... I don't like the explorer one because runner characters have a titanic advantage. And I can just bet people will be selling runs to exotic locations for map unlock... |

these titles are for extraordinary feats. Its only right that such a title is extremely hard to obtain. In the same way though, screenshot from GameSpot (which is where all this talk of titles started) shows a character with 30,000 fame+, a rank 12 indeed, but the full bar seems to stop at 50,000. If they want the feat of capturing skills to be as great as having that amount of fame they have to set the bar high.
Personally i cant wait for the GvG title mentioned in the interview |

Plus, with Tyrian Explorer, I'm sure the last rank comes before 100%, whereas for skill capturing, the first rank comes at 100% (of prophecies). |
