Hi,
Yes I use http://www.darkstarllc.com/ I used to use a company called 'Gamedaemons' but they were the most awfull Teamspeak hosting company I ever had the misfortune to deal with, CONSTANTLY going up and down more times than a nun in a cucumber patch! but they were VERY cheap. If you have a static IP address then its pretty easy to host your own TS server, but again if your computer needs re-booting or you have a power failier its not quite so reliable, and everyone hates an unreliable ts. if you load the teamspeak program there is a way to search public TS servers and you could probably leech from a few of them. But inevitably you wont want to deal with the headache of giving everyone a new IP address everytime you get asked to leave or it goes down. Darkstar are pretty reasonable with pricing I pay about £20 for 3 months for a 30 man its never full and I let two other guilds share it. (who do offer to help with payment but its easily affordable to me) However, the good thing about Darkstar is that since Ive moved to them (over a year now) its NEVER gone down. that to me, is invaluble, especially if I want to increase it to 50 or 100 man. Hope this Helps |

If you're going Factions, I'd wait until you figure out the alliance stuff, you maybe able to go in on a server. I think we pay $10 to $14 for a 50 man, but its on a 6mth lease agreement. I've only seen it go down about 3 times, and fortunately it was in the middle of our week day (CST) so I was the only one logged on.
goteamspeak.com gives a lot of options as they don't do their own hosting (or at least they didn't when we got ours). |

honestly, you should host your own server if your connection will allow and support it. i did the same for mines.

Power outages, windows crashes, system reboots, driver updates, spyware attacks... any NUMBER of things could cause your self-hosted TS server to drop. Just not worth it, unless you REALLY cant afford $5 a month. |
