How come there was assains and ritulists in LA and Ascalon?

you can go to certain towns, but you CAN NOT play there, its as simple as that

La is in tyria so you still havent answered the question..

I just took my CANTHA mesmer to LA and then fought all the way to Droks.

Just because I could.

I was able to do quests and missions. You have to talk to Guardsman Chienpo in Kaineng Center and do the "Chaos in Kryta" quest. He will tell you to talk to Mhenlo on the docks.

Not true, if before you start playing Factions you add your account to your prophecy account then you can have your prophecy characters travel to cantha and your factions characters travel to tyria.

This doesnt not work if you've already started playin factions, you can only "bind" your accounts BEFORE you start playing

I think its from the boat near Marketplace, being new to Factions that boat also allowed my ranger to go from tyria to cantha to great priest of baltharzar. But I'm not that close yet with my assassin so I haven't tried it out yet.

I can only use the travel boat from the empire city, to travel to temple of balthazar ?
