Buying Skills in Factions - Guild Wars Forums

Hey i am playing throught factions and im still in the first island.

I know that im nearly out of the island and i find it weird taht i havnt learnt many skills. I knkow that now you will get more skills by buying them.

My question is, after the first island, do you still get skills for free?
