How do I choose my faction with my Tyirian character?

I mean, where should I go in chanta to gain Faction and choose wich side my alliance will run, without playin a Chanta character but my old Tyrian Ele?

I've done 6 coop mission and now I'm stuck, gates are closed...what am I missing?
