How to use Artifacts or idols. etc - Guild Wars Forums

Hey i'm confused on how to use artifacts and idols i can put them in my shield spot on my inventory but it just gives me a circle with a line through it

and nothing happens, i don't understand them, can someone please direct me to a website that explains it for me (i've been searching for hours, and your faq didn't help, nor search ) anyways,i would apprecieate it!!

Are you using a staff, bow, daggers or hammer, any of these weapons are classed as two handed, making it impossible to use a focus or shield when they are equipped (there not compatible), to equipp them just find a one handed weapon. Seeing though your profession is stated as R/A you wont be using a shield or focus that often if not at all, bows being two handed and all.

Hope that helps, i may have gone over the place a bit but hopefully you understand.
