Fort Aspenwood and Jade Mines - what's the point of them?
What exactly is the point of doing those two missions? Is it just to get a little faction, or does playing them help move the border? And does anyone know what moving the border actually does? Because currently I'm not sure what the point of the border or moving it is? We can't capture locations, can we?

The mission is just for fun. They placed it there to help people get their 10,000 factions for the Befriend quest.
As for the line I don't know anything about that. I haven't seen it move yet... |

The line does indeed affect available towns that a side can have. I know this, as I have seen the Harvest Temple town switch sides a couple times.

I saw the luxon line move all the way over to the Vasburg Armory at one point... but since the populace has been playing almost a 1 to 1 ratio lately. that has not been moved much.
basically what happens is the kur areas become luxon, so players with luxon faction can use their vendors, and Kurziks can't till they liberate the town. it also allows a few more alliances from either side the opportunity to control a town for a time. I have seen the Kurzicks push the line over to the mines as well on the luxon side during the FPE. but i have not seen that happen yet since launch. |
